August was a crazy whirlwind of a month!!
In addition to adjusting to life as a big sister, Maddie had another childhood milestone. On August 22, she started preschool!:0) She really enjoys going to preschool, likes the kids in her class, and loves her teacher. She goes three mornings a week and loves to tell us all about her day when she gets home.
William started to show his little personality in the few first weeks being home. Like any baby, he loves to be held and cuddled. He really responds to Maddie's voice and likes to be sung to. His big, bright eyes seem to miss nothing and Maddie thoroughly enjoys showing him how all his toys work... haha!! Unfortunately, our little man isn't a great sleeper but we're used to that from his big sister. Hopefully he'll start to sleep longer and longer stretches at night as the weeks go on.
We were so happy to have lots of family visitors/helpers during August. Aunt Jennifer was our first visitor followed by Grandma. We were so glad to have them here and were so so thankful to them for all their help as Mommy recovered. We were soooo excited to have Erika come back and visit with us and she was a wonderful helper with Maddie. Our friends, the Johnsons, came to visit and our good buddy Ben came to see us while he was on vacation in Orlando. At the end of the month, Nana and Poppy came to visit. William got to meet one of his namesakes. William's middle name (Geoffrey) was chosen for my dad (Poppy).
