1st Beach Trip/Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, Mommy and Nana took Maddie to Cocoa Beach for her first beach trip.  Maddie was fascinated by the sand and liked to play with it, running it through her fingers.  She LOVED the water and would giggle and squeal as the little waves washed over her feet!! 

Poor Daddy was away on a business trip, but he's excited to take Maddie back to the beach very soon!

Epcot, Easter, and March for Babies

At the beginning of April, we went to Epcot to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival.  It was beautiful!!  I love the picture of us in front of Cinderella's carriage.  Matt and I were smiling away and Maddie's scowling!  

Maddie had a lot of fun at her 1st Easter Egg Hunt.  It was a neighborhood hunt and although Maddie only got one egg on her own, she had a blast. She also got a kick out of her Easter Basket of goodies.  Her favorite Easter gift was the singing/dancing bunny from Hallmark. (Mommy has to admit that it's a pretty funny bunny!)  We went to Lake Lilly Park on Easter to play at the playground and walk around the lake.  It's so pretty there!

I walked in the March for Babies Walk on April 25th.  It was a 6 mile walk through Maitland.  The weather was perfect and most of the walk was beautiful!  It was a wonderful way to start the weekend!  

April 2009 ~ 13 months

The biggest news of the month is... Maddie's walking!!  Woo-hoo!!  She took her first steps before her birthday, but continued to crawl, cruise, and pull-up on everything without any real walking.  Throughout the month, she started taking more and more consecutive steps.  By the end of the month, she was walking!! Let the games BEGIN!!

These are a ton of pictures of Maddie doing a lot of the things that Maddie LOVES!  She spends lots of time playing in her playroom.  She loves playing with her toys, reading her books, and making music (or noise)! 

We've already been lucky with hot weather and and warm water so Maddie and Mommy have gone swimming a bunch of times.  Maddie LOVES the water! 

Also included are pictures of Maddie in her wagon and at playing at 2 different parks. She is very happy to be riding around in her wagon... even if it's just in the yard.  Maddie also loves going to the park.  Her favorite part of the park is the swings.  She could swing all day!  

Finally are a bunch of pictures from Gymboree.  Maddie continues to love going to Gymboree.  She likes watching and playing with the other little kiddos, loves hearing the songs and fingerplays, giggles during bubble time and parachute play, and just gets a kick out of trying out all the equipment!  She's a busy, curious little girl who loves to be on the move!!

The second half of the trip was spent with Mommy's family.  We were so lucky to have a day of having fun with Jess (Mommy's ex-roomie), lots of silly playing with Uncle Matt, and having fun at the Kutztown Park.  We had Maddie's party on March 21 and were so happy to celebrate with lots of family!!
