Poems for Maddie

Uncle Matthew wrote three wonderful poems for little Maddie. He also made pictures of Maddie look like drawings. We loved the poems and drawings! THANK YOU, Uncle Matthew!

7 months!!

Holy moly!! Maddie is 7 months old. She's getting bigger, stronger, more curious, and sillier everyday! :0) We have so much fun with her and are enjoying every minute! She loves to laugh and clap at things... especially silly Molly. Maddie likes to scoot around on her playmats. She's really good at moving herself backwards. She wiggles her hindy and rocks back and forth while she's on her tummy. One of these days, she'll discover her knees and be off and then the fun will begin! She was given a really cool 3 sided "house" from her neighbor friends next door. She loves it! Some days, it seems like she's going to pull herself up on its sides any second.

This Monday, Mommy and Grandma FINALLY spotted the very tip-top of Maddie's bottom 2 incisors peaking up from her gums. We're on "first tooth watch"... look for Maddie's first picture with teeth! Coming soon??

Grandma and Grandpa's visit

We were so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa visiting with us for 2 weeks!!! YAHOO!!! Maddie had so much fun playing with her Grandma and Grandpa! (Molly was happy for all the extra attention, too!) Grandma and Mommy took Maddie to baby storytime at the library. She loved looking at all the other babies/toddlers! It was fun! Grandpa, Grandma, Maddie, and Mommy also had fun swimming in the pool. Most days the water was a little too cool for Maddie, but she had a lot of fun when she was in the water. Poor Daddy was super busy during the visit and had to make 2 trips to Chicago. :0(

We were all so excited that Maddie's Great-Grandma Osborne and her Great-Great Aunt Eileen were able to come and visit. Great-Grandma was visiting Eileen in Clearwater and they both came to Casselberry to visit.

We were sad when Grandma and Grandpa had to go home, but we loved having them with us and had such a great time!!

Getting ready for Halloween!!

Mommy is so excited about Maddie's first Halloween!! She really couldn't help herself so Maddie has a few Halloween outfits in addition to her butterfly costume! :0) Maddie and Molly were having fun posing for Mommy. Notice the last picture of Maddie and Molly... Mommy laughed for a few minutes over the great shot she captured!!

PS - The pumpkin was the original costume, but it didn't fit well. Mommy thought the picture was cute even though the costume went back to Babies 'R Us. :0)

Baseball hats, balls, and bongos!!

Maddie is all ready for a baseball game (go Phillies!)... too bad we're a little late in the season to afford it. :0) Maddie loves playing with her Little Mermaid ball. She hits it, accidently rolls it, and laughs when you roll it back to her.

The last picture is one of my FAVORITE pictures of Maddie! She is making such funny faces these days and LOVES to blow raspberries and make LOUD noises!! Just like her parents, she is not quiet and reserved! Go figure!
