Week 38

It's hard to believe, but I am 2 weeks from my due date!! Yahoo!! At Tuesday's appointment, Dr. Stern told me that there was no progress yet so Matt and I figure that Baby is trying to stay in there and "cook" until the last second. :0) Little stinker...

Last night, was our final pre-natal class at the hospital. A group of pediatricians spoke about newborn/baby health issues (colic, jaundice, fever, immunizations, etc.). A pediatric dentist also spoke about baby/children's dental issues. He showed pictures of cavities in very, very young children (1 year- 3 years). Yikes! The biggest point I took away was NO BOTTLES IN THE CRIB! (Not that I plan to bottle feed, but good to know none the less!)

Nursery: Final Phase?

Quite honestly, I'm not sure what else will fit into the baby's room. It seems the walls are filled, but... who knows? :0) These are the latest pictures.

I finished 2 more projects for the room: a knitted pink blanket and the second Winnie-the-Pooh latchhook.

Deltak Baby Shower

We had a lovely surprise at Matthew's office last Wednesday... a baby shower! We were very touched by the generosity and thoughtfulness of Matt's colleagues, and really enjoyed the shower. THANK YOU to the Deltak/Rasmussen Family!!

36 weeks

Here I am at 36 weeks. This was taken on Valentine's Day. I'm including a rare side shot (which I don't share often) so the "full glory" of the rotund belly can be enjoyed!!

I've gained 26 pounds so far, and I swear all 26 has gone to my belly. :0)

Weeks 34 & 35

Here are some pictures of me at weeks 34 & 35.

The week 35 picture was taken last night after we got home from our Basic Infant Care class at our hospital. We're taking a few prenatal classes. This Saturday is our Lamaze class, then I go to a Prenatal Breastfeeding class, and at the end of the month we go to class where a pediatrician and pediatric dentist talk about health issues with infants and babies. If you sign up for Lamaze, all other classes are free. I'm really like the level of community outreach that our hospital does.

Week 35

The week 34 picture was taken the night of my birthday (31st birthday, but who's counting). Matt and I went to Enzo's, an Italian restaurant, which was totally yumm-o!!
