William's delivery was difficult. After 17 hours of labor, he was born by emergency c-section. We were so thankful to the staff of Winnie Palmer hospital and Dr. Stern for delivering a healthy baby boy for us.
Mommy, Daddy, and William came home from the hospital on the evening of Friday, July 22. We were very lucky to have Nana here to help when we came home from the hospital.
Maddie took to William right away. At times, she's a little too enthusiastic of a big sister and has to be reminded not to hug and squeeze William too hard. William is a sweet baby and in typical newborn style enjoys sleeping the day away and partying all night. We truckin' along as we adjust our schedules and routines to include our little William.
We've been so lucky to have the support of our families and friends, even those that live a distance from us. We were showered with sweet gifts for both kids and Maddie felt so special to get big sister presents. Mommy and Daddy were thrilled to receive many thoughtful homemade dinners from local friends and yummy dinners and food shipped to us from family and Matt's co-workers.
