Happy 2012! January is the month of birthdays at our house... Molly, Daddy, and Mommy all enjoyed happy celebrations of their big day! Unfortunately, poor Maddie was sick the week of Mommy's birthday but that just meant extra snuggles for Mommy. :0)

We were very lucky to have Grandma come and visit us. Maddie liked showing Grandma her preschool and introducing her to Mrs. Whitely. Maddie and William had lots of fun playing with Grandma and had silly time with her and the Muppets.

We had lots of fun at the circus this year! We met Maddie's BF, Liberty, and her family there. This was (of course) William's first circus and he was quite mesmerized by the sights and sounds. Maddie really enjoyed the circus this year and said her favorite act was the tigers and lions.

Maddie was excited to get back to preschool and Gymboree after our trip to PA. She and Mommy have been doing even more crafts than usual thanks to Mommy's Pinterest addiction. Haha! At the end of the month, Maddie and Mommy went to their first family Kindermusik class and free play. Both Maddie and William are signed up for this monthly Kindermusik class but poor Buddy was a little under the weather so just Maddie and Mommy went. Maddie has "rediscovered" Dora and now watches Go Diego Go. She is really interested in the Spanish words and will repeat what she learns during the shows. It can be challenging to interpret what she's saying but does clearly count from 1-10 in Spanish, uses rojo instead of red (haha), and frequently says gracias instead of thank you.

William turned 6 months on the 20th. Where is the time going? 1/2 a year already?! He is still a smiley, giggly baby. He has just started to like tummy time and scoots all over his blankets and onto the carpet on his belly. He really likes to sit up and has a lot of control when sitting. William is Mr. Grabby and anything within his reach is fair game... toys, books, hair, glasses, necklaces, Molly. :0) He does not enjoy his cereal and Mommy is hoping he'll be more interested in fruits and veggies. He is, however, very interested in grabbing the bowl and spoon. At his 6 month appointment, he was 16 lbs 14 oz and 26 1/4 inches. Although the growth chart says he's a little squirt, we think he's our chunky monkey.
