Mommy had a lovely Mother's Day with Maddie and Daddy. We also had fun making bouquets of tulips (Maddie's hands) for Nana and Grandma.
Maddie's Art & Book class (with Miss Minet) ended mid-month, but Maddie continues to LOVE Gymboree School and her other classes. At Gymboree School, the kiddos spend some time each class tracing the letters of the alphabet on their dry/erase boards. Maddie really likes to practice at home.
At the end of the month, we enjoyed a wonderful visit with Auntie Snuff (aka Jessica) and Sarah! Maddie had a blast playing with them and frequently asks to visit with them again!
Maddie's big accomplishment this month has been her move into "big girl" puzzles. We have several Melissa & Doug jigsaw puzzles and two princess jigsaw puzzles (one a coloring puzzle) which she can put together all by herself. It's cute to see her so proud of herself and she will get upset if she gets "stuck" and needs help. She definitely enjoys the independence of being able to do things on her own.
After a lovely coat of purple paint and new carpet, we moved Maddie's toddler bed in her brand new big girl room! :0) She LOVES her room and refers to her old room (the nursery) as Baby Brother's room. We're waiting (and not so patiently) for her twin bed and dresser to be delivered and will be putting up the finishing touches (decals, pictures, etc.) soon.
Other than some personal touches "just for him", Baby Boy's room is ready to go. Now all we need is Baby Boy! Mommy must admit that she's a lot less patient this time around. I hate wishing time away but am more than ready for it to be July and for Baby Boy to be here!
