August 2010 - 29 months

So many visitors, so much to do, so little time... I think that was our motto this month! :0) What a fantastic August we had! We started off the month with a terrific visit from the Dowdall girls. Leila, Bella, and Aliah made us their last stop as they moved from Pennsylvania to Texas. Poor Joe was already in Texas and missed the fun... next time, Joe!

The girls had lots of fun playing dress-up, swimming in the pool and playing in the sand, and hanging out at Amaya Papaya. The best part of the visit was our magical day at the Magic Kingdom! :0) The only non-magical part of the Magic Kingdom (for Maddie) was when we met Minnie and Mickey. Stuffed little Minnie and Mickey... good. 6 foot tall "alive" Minnie and Mickey... bad. Oh well!

We were lucky enough to also have Nana and Poppy come for a visit this month. Maddie had tons of fun at Gymboree with Poppy and Nana (two different days... woo-hoooo), lots of fun at Downtown Disney, and silly fun just playing around the house!

At the end the month, we meet Mommy's friend Bethann (from high school) and her boyfriend, Adam, at Epcot for the fireworks. Even though it was rainy, we had lots of fun and fireworks!

Maddie's new FAVORITE place to play is Monkey Joe's. If you've never been to MJ's and you have a little one... go immediately! It's an indoor bounce house/inflatable slide extravaganza! Maddie loves to run around and bounce, but her favorite part of MJ's is climbing up and sliding down the "big girl" slides all by herself!

Maddie's making lots of strides as she grows and develops from a toddler to a little girl. My sweet munchkin still loves to cuddle and be read to, but also loves her to do things for herself. She loves to color and do "crafts", build things, read to herself, sing HER songs, and explore anything and everything she can get her hands on!
