January ~ 10 months

Happy 2009!! We wish everyone a healthy and happy new year!!

We returned home to Florida with a "new" Maddie!! She is a moving machine... crawling everywhere and cruising on everything! She LOVES pulling up on things, pulling things off of tables, and banging on (and sometimes licking) the doors! The sliding glass door seems to taste especially good - YUCK! Maddie loves to take every last toy and book out of her bins in her room and the living room. Maddie loves going to storytime at the library and really enjoys Gymboree classes. Maddie has a lot of fun and likes meeting new friends.

Maddie says "ma-ma" and "da-da" to us and sometimes just babbles them. She does enjoy babbling conversationally. Sometimes the "conversations" are quite loud and long. Maddie loves music and some of her favorite toys sing songs to her. She LOVES Lily and Leap (the Leapfrog toys who sing '"123s" and "ABCs") and her GloWorm who sings lullabies.

We had so much fun with the Shertz family when they vacationed in Disney and then visited with us at the beginning of the month. Maddie had such a good time playing with Jimmy and Holly who were very sweet with her!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday with the Shertz's at Animal Kingdom (unfortunately without Daddy during the day) and celebrated Mommy's birthday at the Magic Kingdom. Mommy and Maddie celebrated President Obama's historic inauguration with cheers!
